You are about to begin the registration process for the AMIC Meat Processing and Export Conference 2023. All information should be typed in upper and lower case (ie John Citizen).


On submission of your registration you will receive a confirmation email to the email address used below. Please complete the following information and ensure that the fields marked 'required' are completed before continuing on.

 

If you wish to register and manage a group, please use the group registration portal. This will enable you to manage the group (even if you are not attending) and receive one invoice. You will also be able to log back in at any time to check, change or add registrations for your group. 

 

If you are sponsor or exhibitor you will be sent a separate link for registering your staff to attend the conference. If you do not have that link, please contact Bradley Hayden.

Optional Pre Conference Activities

The following pre-conference activities are being offered on Tuesday 31 October.

Options 1, 2 & 3 will run in the afternoon from approximately 12.30 to 5.00pm.

Option 4 will run in the morning from approximately 9.00am to 12.30pm. Please note that options 1, 2 & 3 are running concurrently so you can only choose one.

Option 1 – Golf Tournament proudly sponsored by Agri Labour Australia, offering those lucky few the chance to take part in a great event, with the teams teeing off with a shotgun start at 1.30pm. A maximum of 72 golfers can be part of this event so we anticipate a full course. If you’re a keen golfer and want to back your chances at MPEC glory then book in early. A light lunch will be on offer at the Royal Pines Club Rooms from 12.30pm where you can also hire clubs. We definitely recommend being there at 12.30 to be fully prepared for golf an hour later. Price - $33.00

 

Option 2 – A much-coveted Tour of the Port of Brisbane, Queensland’s premier port and logistics hub. The tour begins at the Port office at 2.00pm, with a short refreshment stop and view of the port and surrounding Moreton Bay Islands. From here you will tour the various parts of the port and see firsthand the life blood of this key logistics hub. You will also get the opportunity to see how some of the world’s largest cargo ships load and unload cargo at one of the port’s state-of-the-art stevedoring facilities, the Patrick Brisbane AutoStrad Terminal, where you will be treated to an up close view of the container handling operations. Price - $33.00

Delegates selecting this option can either:

  • Join the bus from Royal Pines Resort, departing the hotel foyer at 12.30pm and returning by 5.30pm; or
  • Drive (or taxi) to the port, participate in the tour, and either drive or join the tour bus back to Royal Pines

Option 3 – Dealing with Detractors workshop, For those looking for some practical take-home lessons from MPEC, then this fantastic workshop is for you. We have put together a three-hour program on strategies to effectively deal with detractors and prepare for, and manage, those wishing to damage your business and the wider industry. This action-packed, informative, and practical seminar will give you tools you can take away and incorporate into your business. More details to be released on this soon but, suffice to say, we’re pretty excited with what is shaping up. 1.30 to 4.30pm. Price - $33.00

 

Option 4 – Meat Business Women: Decoding Confidence: ways to level up your confidence game. Join the first of our series of state based, in person Masterclasses and learn to level up your confidence game! We are once again teaming up with the fabulous global DEI and women’s leadership expert Michelle Redfern. Michelle is an award-winning advisor and experienced facilitator. She’s inspirational, and energetic and inspires people to take action to create workplaces that work for every human. 9.00am to 12.30pm. No charge

Conference Cancellation Policy

Should you elect to cancel your registration, a full refund less a $150 cancellation fee per registration will be made on any cancellations received by Friday 13 October 2023. No refunds will be issued for any registration cancellations made after October 13 although substitutions of delegates will be accepted. All cancellations must be made in writing to the conference manager.

Every effort is made to ensure that the contents of this registration brochure are correct. The organisers retain the right to make changes where necessary. The Australian Meat Industry Council and the conference managers, Countrywide Conference and Event Management, will not accept liability for any damages of any nature sustained by participants or their accompanying persons or loss or damage to their personal property for the duration of the conference and tour.

 

Condition of Entry

It is a condition of entry that no delegate may disrupt the order of events or intent of the program. Anyone considered to be disturbing the program intent will be asked to leave. Only pamphlets and brochures approved by the event organisers may be distributed.

Payment

You have 2 payment options

EFT Payments
You can generate your own invoice now for EFT payments. Bank account details will be on the invoice you receive when you complete the registration process. You may pay in full or part - as long as the full amount is received within 30 days of the conference.

Credit Card Payments
You may pay now via on line credit card payment (note a 1.5% merchant fee applies). You will be issued with a tax receipt/invoice showing a zero balance owing. This option only allows for the payment of the full amount outstanding.

We encourage you to make the most of your conference experience by staying on site at the Royal Pines Resort (the conference venue). AMIC have negotiated corporate rates for the conference dates as well as the 3 nights either side in case you want to extend your stay. Rooms rates start at $240.00 per night (Mountain View room – excludes breakfast) and includes up to two people in a room. Breakfast can be added at a rate of $30 per person. Room types and rates are as follows.
