You are about to begin the registration process for the 2018 Australia ICOMOS & ICOMOS Pasifika International Conference . All information should be typed in upper and lower case (ie John Citizen).

On submission of your registration you will receive an automated confirmation email which will include a tax invoice with payment details. Please check your confirmation to ensure you are booked for everything you wish to attend. Please note that to take advantage of the Earlybird Rate registrations must be PAID IN FULL by Wednesday 1 August 2018.

Membership classifications can be summarised as follow:

Member rates apply to financial members of Australia ICOMOS, International ICOMOS and ICOMOS New Zealand members.If you register for the membership rate and your membership status is not confirmed you will receive an email advising that your registration will be 'pending' subject to confirmation of your membership.Your 2017/2018 membership fees must be paid before a registration at the member rate can be accepted and fully processed. Pacific Small Island Developing States rates apply to the residents of Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Federation States of Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu. A copy of the Passport ID page is required.

To enjoy the Student Registration rate you must provide us with a copy of your student Id identifying you as a current full time student. This can be emailed to the secretariat after you have registered.

Optional Functions and Activities

There are several optional functions and activities that are being offered as part of the conference. The following are the details and booking options below.

The ICOMOS Asia-Pacific Regional meeting will be held on Tuesday, 2 October from 12:30-1:00pm and is only open to ICOMOS members. Please indicate below if you wish to attend this meeting.

The Welcome Reception will be held on Tuesday 2 October at the Museum of Fiji veranda. Cocktail style reception finger food only. This function is included in the registration fee and only open to registered delegates with extra tickets not available. Dinner by own arrangement thereafter. Delegates will have the opportunity to view the Museum collections prior to the drinks. The traditional Fijian Sevusevu welcome ceremony will precede the Welcome Reception and all registered delegates are encouraged to attend this official ceremony. Please indicate below if you wish to attend this function.

The Emerging Practitioners function will be held at NOVOTEL Suva Lami Bay on Wednesday 3 October from 6.00pm to 7.00pm and is open only for delegates at 35-year-old and younger. Light finger food and drinks will be provided for registered delegates. Tickets are $25 for additional guests. Dinner by own arrangement thereafter. Please indicate below if you wish to attend this function.


The Conference dinner will be held on Thursday 4 October at the Governor’s Museum Themed Restaurant. The conference dinner is not included in the registration fee with a maximum of 2 tickets available for purchase by each delegate. Ticket rates are detailed below. Pre & Post Conference Tours
Pre-Conference Levuka Workshop


Pre-Conference Levuka Workshop - Travel from Suva on Saturday, 29 September & return to Suva on Tuesday, 2 October 2018, 2-day workshop on Sunday & Monday.

Cost including travel from and to Suva, but excluding accommodation. The Levuka Workshop is limited to 50 participants only with 50% of the places to be allocated for ‘Pacific Small Island Developing States’heritage practitioners and officers. The focus of the Levuka Workshop is preparation of a draft Pasifika Charter with the aim to launch the final Pasifika Charter at the ICOMOS 20th General Assembly in Sydney in 2020. Therefore, the remainder of the attendees will be formed from delegates with expertise and knowledge of preparation of conservation charters similar to The Burra Charter and the ICOMOS New Zealand Charter. Attendance will be at first come first in basis with the priority is given to delegates with appropriate expertise to achieve the best outcome from the workshop.

Post-Conference Tour - 1.5 day tour.

  • Sigatoka Sand Dunes & Momi Battery Historic Park – Saturday, 6 October, bus travel from Suva for afternoon tour to Sigatoka for the National Trust of Fiji Islands properties
  • Overnight stay near Lautoka
  • Lautoka Sugar Mill – Sunday, 7 October morning then return to Nadi airport

AUS$280 per person – Tour price include bus travel commencing on Saturday 6 October morning from Suva, overnight accommodation TWIN SHARE and return bus trip to Nadi airport on Sunday 7 October afternoon.

Registration Summary

Cancellation Policy
If cancelling your registration on or before Friday 31 August you are entitled to a full refund of all monies paid, less a AUS$110 administration fee. After 31 August, no refunds are available however substitute delegates may be sent. ALL cancellations made must be in writing to the conference secretariat via email.

EFT Payments
You can generate your own invoice now for EFT payments. Bank account details will be on the invoice you receive when you complete the registration process. Full payment is required to confirm your registration. 

Credit Card Payments
You may pay now via on line credit card payment (note a 1.5% merchant fee applies). You will be issued with a tax receipt/invoice showing a zero balance owing. Please note that the merchant on your credit card statement will show ' Countrywide Conference' 

Please Note - to be eligible for the Early Bird rate full payment is required by Wednesday 1 August. If payment is not received by this date, your registration with convert to the standard rate and an invoice issued for the additional amont due.

A reminder that you need to book your own accommodation for the conference. Contact details for the Novotel Lami Bay (the conference venue) will be provided in your confirmation email.
